Dec. 7, 2006: Justice Department aides demand resignations from seven U.S. attorneys:
Dan Bogden of Nevada,
Paul Charlton of Arizona, Margaret Chiara of Michigan, David Iglesias of New Mexico, Carol Lam of San Diego, John McKay of Washington, and Kevin Ryan of San Francisco.
At the time of the firings Cases they were investigating this is only part of the file.
1. October 11, 2001 - Todd Graves (Western Missouri) - investigation into Missouri's Republican governor Matt Blunt.
2. October 18, 2001 - David Iglesias (New Mexico) - resisting pressure from Sen. Pete Domenici and another member of Congress before last years election to rush indictments in a Democratic kickback investigation.
3. October 24, 2001 - John McKay (Western Washington) - his dismissal could have been linked to criticism from Republicans about his investigation into the extraordinarily close Washington state governor's race of 2004. Democrat Chris Gregoire was declared the victor after McKay found no evidence of voter fraud.
4. November 2, 2001 - Margaret Chiara (Western Michigan) -
5. does her dismissal have anything to do with Native American issues, gambling operations current or planned, or the DeLay-Abramoff scandals?
6. November 2, 2001 - Daniel Bogden (Nevada) - NV GOP Governor Gibbons being investigated for taking $$$ for Military Contractor. November 14, 2001 - Paul Charlton (Arizona) - Connection Below - for corruption, but unnamed
7. January 9, 2002 - H.E. "Bud" Cummins III (Eastern Arkansas) - Griffin, who became an aide to Karl Rove, was later appointed by the Bush Administration as the US Attorney from Arkansas after they had fired Bud Cummins.
8. Griffin has since resigned from the post in the wake of the scandal.
9. August 2, 2002 - Kevin Ryan (Northern California) - Investigating - executives fraudulently backdated stock-option grants.
10. November 8, 2002 - Carol Lam (Southern California) - Connection Below - for corruption, but unnamed
It is a FACT that Gibbons has a Defense Fund.
Why would a DFund be necessary if there was NORTHING TO DEFEND AGAINST?
Also - 5 of the 8 Fired US Attorneys
were on the
Justice Department's Native American Issues Subcommittee.
They were
#6 - Paul Charlton of Arizona,
#4 - Margaret Chiara of Michigan,
#2 - David Iglesias of New Mexico,
#3 - John McKay of Washington and
#5 - Daniel Bogden of Nevada.
Remember - Former Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff?
Abramoff worked to stop Indian Gaming competition.
What ever happened to the - Jack Abramoff investigation?
Coincidence?
WHY IS THE NV MEDIA NOT ASKING ABOUT THIS?
